The short answer: it depends on the configuration. A glovebox's price is driven mainly by series, size, gas purification, antechambers and accessories – and by whether you buy new or used. A compact single box is well below a large, double-sided multi-workstation unit.

The key cost factors
- Series & size: from a compact single workstation to a large double box – working space and build are the biggest price driver.
- Number of gloves & operability: 2 to 8 gloves, operable from one or both sides.
- Gas purification: integrated system with molecular sieve and copper catalyst for low O₂/H₂O levels.
- Antechambers: large transfer antechamber and/or mini antechamber.
- Sensors & control: O₂/H₂O sensors, vacuum pump, regeneration-gas generator.
- Accessories: ovens, hot plates, freezer, solvent filter, additional feedthroughs, windows.

On top of the purchase price there are ongoing costs: protective gas (argon/nitrogen), filter filling (molecular sieve, copper catalyst), gloves and seals as wear parts, and maintenance. With used units, the refurbishment determines the running costs: a poorly refurbished “bargain” box can quickly become more expensive in operation than a properly reconditioned one.
